iPad Smart Case
Apple quietly released their new Smart Case and I understand why they did not make a big deal of it. It’s not a product announcement worth fussing over, don’t give me wrong it’s nice but it’s not exciting. It’s just a case with a Smart Cover for an all around body protection for the iPad 2 and the new iPad.
When I first saw it at stores I cringed because it reminded me of Tupperware, But due to my GhostArmor double protection making the magnets a little week for the smart cover I was concerned about potentially losing it, so I went ahead and pick up a smart case.
And I actually like it better than I thought I would. The iPad sets into the case so to speak, and because it makes a nice smooth surface on the back I was able to put my logo on it without it looking funky. Where on the iPad itself the Apple logo embed kind of shows through.
Am I doing overkill having GhostArmor and the smart case? Maybe, but regardless I would have at least the clear GhostArmor to protect the back from rubbing up against the case.
Also I’ll mostly use the case for when I leave the house and I want to have additional protection. When I’m at home I like to have it naked.
The inside of the case and the backside of the Smart cover feels like it’s made of the microfiber material that is really nice. There’s a strong frame you snap the iPad into but once it’s in there it just kinda rests inside of there and the structure of the iPad helps give it, it’s shape.
The iPad Smart Case comes in dark gray, light gray, red, green, and blue. It runs for $49 and is available at Apple stores across the country.
